Job Description

The successful candidate must possess a broad range of skills and experience in providing high quality technical support for the clinical diagnosis and treatment of Cardiological conditions. Applicants must hold a BSc in Clinical Measurement Science, the Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement or equivalent qualification with three years post-graduate experience and clear evidence of high technical skills in Cath Lab support, Pacing, Echo Cardiography and Trans Oesophageal Echocardiography.

2. Cardiac Technician.

The successful candidate will join an expanding Cardiology Department which offers a full range of Cardiology services consistent with international best practice. Interested candidates must :

  • Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement Science, Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement or hold an equivalent qualification
  • Be an associate of the Society of Cardiological Science and Technology, member of the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science or equivalent
  • Preferably have 2 years relevant post-qualification experience with experience in Echocardiography, Pacing and/or Cath Lab desirable
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a high capacity for responsibility and individual initiative
  • Be able to demonstrate adaptability to the rapid changes taking place in the Hospital

This key position will be of interest to appropriately qualified, experienced and motivated healthcare professionals having a proven track record in a Cardiac interventional environment. Organisational and team building skills in a multi-disciplinary setting will be essential. Candidates must possess a BSc in Nursing or BSc in Radiography or BSc in Clinical Measurement Science coupled with five years Cath Lab experience including three years in a management post.
