Bank/Locum Cardiac Technician - Cardiology Department
The Hermitage Medical Clinic’s Cardiology Department is
a busy vibrant department which services a large
outpatient service, Emergency department and inpatient
basis.
The successful applicants will work mainly in the
non-invasive Cardiology Department and depending on
experience in the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Our non-invasive services include;

Echocardiography including 3D, contrast echo, bubble
studies and TOE
-
Ambulatory monitoring including
Holters, BP and event monitoring
-
ECG and Exercise Stress Testing
-
Device follow-up,
Pacemaker, loop and ICD (including CRT)
Our Cardiac Cath Lab services include;
-
Coronary angiography
-
FFR and IVUS
-
Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (Stenting)
-
Percutaneous Trans-catheter Septal closures
-
Electrophysiology studies and Ablation Therapy
-
Device implantation – pacemakers, loops, ICD’s
The Hermitage Medical Clinic also a Cardiac CT, Cardiac
MRI and Nuclear Cardiology service.
Role
This role is for a bank/locum technician to cover
annual leave with a view to
permanency as the service develops.
Requirements:
§
Bachelor of Science in Clinical Measurement or a
Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological
Measurement.
§
Have at least a minimum of 1 year post qualification
experience in a Cardiac Department in Ireland/UK.
§
Technical proficiency in performing Stress Tests, Holter,
BP and Event monitoring, ECG's, Monitoring. Some
Echocardiography and Cath Lab experience would be
desirable.
§
Excellent Communication skills.
§
Good computer skills essential.
§
Awareness and sensitivity towards
patients needs
§
Awareness of patient confidentiality
§
Must be available to start work immediately.
